How We Handle Your Information
Last Updated: October 30, 2025
Got questions about your data? We're here to help make things clear.
Get In TouchHey there. Look, we get it - nobody actually enjoys reading privacy policies. But we figured you deserve to know what happens with your info when you train with us at Lumirion Void Fitness.
We've been running this place since we opened our doors, and we've always believed in keeping things straight with our members. Your trust means everything to us, so we're gonna break down exactly how we handle your personal data.
This policy applies to everyone who walks through our doors at 1247 Queen Street West, signs up online, or even just browses our website. We follow Canadian privacy laws (PIPEDA, for those who care about the acronyms), and we take that stuff seriously.
Alright, so here's what we're collecting and why we need it:
Your name, email, phone number, address - the basics. We need this stuff to set up your membership, send you class schedules, and reach out if there's something you gotta know about.
When you fill out that health questionnaire (yeah, the one everyone tries to skip), we're collecting info about injuries, medical conditions, fitness goals. Our trainers need this to keep you safe and design programs that actually work for YOUR body. We're not gonna push someone with a bad knee into box jumps, y'know?
Credit card details, bank info for direct debits, transaction history. We process payments through secure third-party providers - we don't actually store your full card numbers on our systems.
Check-in times, which classes you attend, equipment you use, personal training session notes. This helps us understand what's working and what's not, plus it lets us celebrate when you're crushing your goals.
IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, how long you stick around. Standard internet stuff that helps us fix bugs and make the site less annoying to use.
We're not collecting this stuff just to have it sit in a database somewhere. Here's what we actually DO with it:
We're not selling your data to sketchy marketers or using it for anything weird. That's a promise.
We don't just hand out your info to anyone who asks. But there ARE a few situations where we share it:
Payment processors, email platforms, booking systems - the tech that keeps us running. These companies have their own privacy policies and are contractually required to protect your data.
If you're working with one of our nutrition consultants or physical therapists, we might share relevant health info with them. Always with your permission first, though.
If the law requires it, if there's a court order, or if we need to protect someone's safety - yeah, we'll share info then. Hasn't happened yet, but we gotta mention it.
If we ever sell the business or merge with another gym (not planning on it, but you never know), your data would transfer to the new owners. You'd be notified if this ever happens.
What we DON'T do: Sell your data to third parties, share your personal info on social media without permission, or give out your contact details to other members who ask for them.
Security isn't just for our front door locks. We take digital security pretty seriously too:
Look, no system is 100% hack-proof - anyone who tells you otherwise is lying. But we do everything reasonably possible to keep your info locked down tight.
If there ever IS a data breach (knock on wood), we'll notify you ASAP and let you know what happened and what we're doing about it.
Under Canadian privacy law, you've got some rights when it comes to your personal data. Here's what you can do:
Wanna see what info we have on you? Just ask. We'll provide you with a copy within 30 days (usually faster, but legally we've got 30).
If something's wrong - we've got an old phone number or your address is outdated - let us know and we'll fix it.
Want us to delete your info? We can do that, with a few exceptions. We gotta keep some records for legal and accounting purposes (usually for about 7 years). But anything beyond that, we'll wipe it.
Don't wanna get our promotional emails? There's an unsubscribe link at the bottom of every message. Or just tell us and we'll remove you from the list.
If you've given us permission to use your data for something specific (like sharing your transformation photos), you can take that permission back anytime.
To exercise any of these rights, shoot us an email at info@lumirionvoid.info or swing by the front desk. We'll need to verify your identity first (can't just hand out member data to anyone who asks), but then we'll get you sorted out.
Yeah, we use cookies. Not the chocolate chip kind (though we wish). These are little bits of data that help our website work better.
These keep you logged in, remember your cart when you're booking classes, that sort of thing. Can't really turn these off without breaking the site.
We use tools like Google Analytics to see how people use our site. Which pages get the most traffic, where people are clicking, how long they stick around. Helps us make the site less annoying to navigate.
These track whether you came from an ad, which helps us figure out if our marketing is actually working or if we're just throwing money into the void (pun intended).
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block them entirely, though that might make some features wonky. Your choice, though.
We don't use cookies to track you across other websites or build creepy profiles about your browsing habits. We've got better things to do.
Look, things change. New laws get passed, we adopt new tech, we figure out better ways to do things. When we update this policy, here's what'll happen:
We recommend checking back here every now and then, especially if it's been a while. We'll keep the language straightforward - no sudden shifts to confusing legal jargon.
Got questions about this privacy policy? Something unclear? Think we messed something up? We're here to talk.

We'll get back to you within a couple business days. Usually faster, but life happens.
Privacy Commissioner of Canada: If you're not satisfied with how we handle your privacy concerns, you've got the right to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. We'd prefer to work it out directly first, but that option's always there.
We collect what we need to run the gym and keep you safe. We protect it like it's our own. We don't sell it or abuse it. And you've got control over your data whenever you want it. Simple as that.
